USPSA classifier intelligence

Know the exact hit factor
you need to make
your next class.

MatchChaser does the math the USPSA site won't. Enter your classifiers, set your target class, and see the precise hit factor you need on your next stage — broken down by division, classifier code, and timeline. Built for shooters who don't shoot to get lucky.

Thirteen features built around one question: how do you get to where you want to be?

No social-media fluff. No paid promo of gear you don't need. Just the math, the data, and the calendar — built by a USPSA member who got tired of doing this by hand.

Path-to-class projector

Set your goal class and target date. See the exact hit-factor breakdown you need on your next 1, 2, or 3 classifiers — translated into target HFs for the classifiers you're most likely to shoot in your division.

Classifier log

Enter classifier code, division, date, and your hit factor — we compute your percentage against the current High Hit Factor and update your best 6 of 8 in real time. Backfill old dates, paste a whole USPSA history with bulk import, and we block accidental duplicate logs.

Classification dashboard

Your current calculated class, broken down by division — USPSA's official math, updated the moment you log a score, not on a Tuesday schedule. It even flags when you've plateaued and shows the exact score holding you back — and charts your class trend climbing over time.

Match journal

A clean log of every match you shoot. Place, percentage of winner, notes to yourself, stages that went sideways. Searchable. Yours.

Match calendar

Your matches on a month calendar — upcoming ones you've registered for and completed ones with results — plus an at-a-glance upcoming list. Find new matches through PractiScore and USPSA, and embed your club's PractiScore calendar right on the page.

Classifier deep-dives

One page per classifier code: the stage diagram, how-to videos, current HHFs by division, your full score history, a per-division leaderboard, and a discussion thread for tips and strategy.

Membership reminders

USPSA membership lapsed? Your scores get X-flagged. We watch the date so you don't lose classifiers.

Profile + goals

Your divisions, your current declared class, your goal class with a target date. The whole system hangs off this.

Live HHF reference

Maintained, sortable reference table of every active classifier with current High Hit Factors per division — updated whenever USPSA recalibrates. New 26-series trial classifiers are flagged separately and kept out of your calculated class until USPSA scores them.

Rounds & ammo tracker

Log every range and match session: round counts over time, per-gun totals with service-interval reminders, and an ammo inventory by caliber that deducts as you shoot and warns when you're low.

Gear favorites

See what the community runs — optics, holsters and more, ranked by how many own them. Tag your guns with their make/model and the optic mounted, then see which firearms people pair an optic with.

Paste-in match import & deep analysis

Finished a match? Paste the PractiScore Overall results and your personal stage page — MatchChaser parses both and logs the match with your placement and the whole field. Then open Analyze for a stage-by-stage breakdown (your weakest stage, where the misses landed), a head-to-head vs the division winner — or anyone in the field, a consistency read across your stages, your clean-run potential, and an interactive what-if sandbox — drag your time and hits to see exactly where you'd have placed that day. Performance-trend charts track your % over time. Members can skip the copy-paste entirely — import a whole match from just its results link.

Training log & analysis

Log your dry- and live-fire sessions — drills run, rounds down, and what you worked on. The analysis page turns it into trends: your activity over the weeks, current and longest streaks, where your reps actually go by session type, and — once you've logged matches — how much training you put in before each one, so you can read your habits next to your results.

Membership · optional

Everything above is free. Membership does the typing — and the what-if math.

Every feature on this page is free, and stays free. Membership adds four optional extras — two automations that pull your scores and matches in for you, and two what-if tools that model a classifier or a stage before and after you shoot — and helps keep MatchChaser independent. $5/month or $50/year.

Automatic USPSA classifier sync

Your official classifier scores pulled straight from USPSA — automatically every week, and on demand whenever you want. Your classification stays current without you entering a thing.

One-click PractiScore match import

Paste a match's results link and we pull your overall finish, every stage, and auto-log any classifier stages into your classification. No copy-paste, no typing.

Classifier What-If sandbox

Model any classifier before you shoot it — set your hits, time, and power factor and see the exact percentage, the class it earns, and how it moves your projected classification. It even loads your real runs from imported matches, so you can flip one hit and see what it would take to move up.

Stage What-If

On any match you've imported, replay a stage with cleaner hits or a faster time and watch your hit factor and placement change — so you can see exactly where the points went, and what they were worth.

Monthly

Questions

Honest answers, before you register.

Is MatchChaser affiliated with USPSA?
No. MatchChaser is independent. USPSA is a registered trademark of the United States Practical Shooting Association. We model their public classification rules carefully — but we're not them, and we don't speak for them.
How does my classifier data get into the system?
A few ways: quick manual entry — classifier code, division, date, and hit factor, about 15 seconds per score on mobile — or paste your USPSA classifier history to bulk-import it all at once. Members can also turn on automatic sync, which pulls your official scores straight from USPSA for you. Either way, we never ask for your USPSA password.
Can I import a whole match and break it down?
Yes. Paste your PractiScore match results — the Overall page and your personal stage page — and MatchChaser logs the match with your placement and the full field. Then "Analyze" gives you a stage-by-stage breakdown, a head-to-head against the division winner, your clean-run potential, and a what-if sandbox where you drag your time and hits to see where you'd have placed. Nothing in the sandbox is saved — it's yours to explore.
What's it cost?
The whole app is free — the classifier tracker, projector, leaderboards, and match analysis. Membership is optional ($5/month or $50/year) and just adds the automations and what-if tools: USPSA classifier sync, PractiScore match import, and the classifier & stage What-If sandboxes. The thing you came for stays free.
Who built this?
A USPSA member who happens to also build software for a living. Started as a personal spreadsheet, grew into something worth sharing.
Is the beta open?
Yes — the beta is open now. Register for an account and you're in. You're early enough that your feedback still shapes what ships.
