USPSA classifier intelligence

Know the exact hit factor
you need to make
your next class.

MatchChaser does the math the USPSA site won't. Enter your classifiers, set your target class, and see the precise hit factor you need on your next stage — broken down by division, classifier code, and timeline. Built for shooters who don't shoot to get lucky.

Nine features built around one question: how do you get to where you want to be?

No social-media fluff. No paid promo of gear you don't need. Just the math, the data, and the calendar — built by a working USPSA Range Officer who got tired of doing this by hand.

Path-to-class projector

Set your goal class and target date. See the exact hit-factor breakdown you need on your next 1, 2, or 3 classifiers — translated into target HFs for the classifiers you're most likely to shoot in your division.

Classifier log

Enter classifier code, division, match date, and your hit factor. We compute your percentage against the current High Hit Factor, flag scores per the April 2025 USPSA rules, and show your best 6 of 8 in real time.

Classification dashboard

Your current calculated class, broken down by division. Mirror of USPSA's official math — but updated the moment you log a score, not on a Tuesday schedule.

Match journal

A clean log of every match you shoot. Place, percentage of winner, notes to yourself, stages that went sideways. Searchable. Yours.

Match calendar

USPSA and PractiScore matches near you. Filter by division, level, registration status, distance.

Classifier deep-dives

One page per classifier code. Stage diagram, HHFs by division, percentile distribution, tips, and relevant video.

Membership reminders

USPSA membership lapsed? Your scores get X-flagged. We watch the date so you don't lose classifiers.

Profile + goals

Your divisions, your current declared class, your goal class with a target date. The whole system hangs off this.

Live HHF reference

Maintained reference table of every active classifier with current High Hit Factors per division. Updated whenever USPSA recalibrates.

Roadmap · After launch

What comes next — once you're logging.

Some features only light up when there's data behind them. These ship in waves after launch, as the community grows.

Phase Two · Data layer

When the community has scores logged.

  • Per-classifier leaderboards and percentile distributions
  • Plateau detection — flag stagnation, suggest the way out
  • Per-classifier discussion threads (no general forum noise)
  • Round count and ammo tracker
Phase Three · Power tools

For shooters who live in the bay.

  • Gear loadout tracker — correlate setup vs. performance
  • Dry-fire log tied to live-fire results
  • Optic, ammo, holster, mag-pouch versioning
  • Goal commitment with periodic progress emails
Questions

Honest answers, before you sign up.

Is MatchChaser affiliated with USPSA?
No. MatchChaser is independent. USPSA is a registered trademark of the United States Practical Shooting Association. We model their public classification rules carefully — but we're not them, and we don't speak for them.
How does my classifier data get into the system?
At launch: manual entry. You enter classifier code, division, date, and hit factor — about 15 seconds per score on mobile. We're investigating cleaner data paths for later releases, but we're not asking for your USPSA password. Ever.
What's it cost?
Free during beta. The core classifier tracker and projector will stay free at launch and after. Long-term we may add optional premium features (advanced analytics, coach mode), but the thing you came for stays free.
Who built this?
A USPSA NROI-certified Range Officer who happens to also build software for a living. Started as a personal spreadsheet, grew into something worth sharing.
When does it launch?
We're in active build. Pre-launch list members get first access — early enough that your feedback shapes what ships. Drop your email below and we'll tell you the moment beta opens.
